In 2021 China market,the output of power batteries will be 219.7GWh, the sales volume will be 186.0GWh, and the installed capacity will be 154.5GWh.
Behind the surge in power battery production is the explosion of demand. The installed capacity of power batteries in 2021 will increase by 142.8% year-on-year.
In 2021, the cumulative output of ternary lithium batteries is 93.9GWh, accounting for 42.7% of the total output, a cumulative increase of 93.6% year-on-year; the cumulative output of lithium iron phosphate batteries is 125.4GWh, accounting for 57.1% of the total output, a cumulative increase of 262.9% year-on-year.
Judging from the types of batteries produced by battery companies, the output of ternary lithium batteries is basically stable, while the output of lithium iron phosphate batteries is increasing significantly. In December, the output of lithium iron phosphate batteries almost doubled that of ternary lithium batteries.
From January to December 2021, the total installed capacity of power batteries in my country is 154.5GWh, a year-on-year increase of 142.8%. Among them, the cumulative installed capacity of ternary batteries is 74.3GWh, accounting for 48.1% of the total installed capacity, a cumulative increase of 91.3% year-on-year; the cumulative installed capacity of lithium iron phosphate batteries is 79.8GWh, accounting for 51.7% of the total installed capacity, a cumulative increase of 227.4% year-on-year.
