Het is dan ook geen verrassing dat deze fabriek vorige maand opnieuw in het nieuws was, nu Tesla is begonnen met de massaproductie van batterijen en de doelstelling van 35 GWh aan capaciteit en meer probeert te bereiken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hoe spannend dit project ook is, het is in feite slechts \u00e9\u00e9n van de vele grootschalige &quot;megafabrieken&quot; die momenteel worden gebouwd, waarvan er vele in China staan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CHINA NEEMT HET VOORtouw<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We spraken met Simon Moores, Managing Director bij Benchmark Mineral Intelligence, die uitlegde dat Tesla niet de enige of unieke onderneming is met de ambitie om lithium-ionbatterijen op grote schaal te produceren:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hoewel de Tesla Gigafactory van cruciaal belang is voor de verticale integratie van elektrische voertuigen, wordt het grootste deel van de nieuwe lithium-ionbatterijcapaciteit in China gebouwd. Sommige van deze fabrieken zullen naar verwachting enorm groot zijn, zoals de CATL-fabriek met een capaciteit van 50 GWh \u2013 er bestaat weinig twijfel over dat de Chinese lithium-ionindustrie volwassen is geworden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Het hedendaagse Amperex Technology Ltd (CATL) is van plan de grootste lithium-ion-megafabriek ooit te bouwen, maar het bedrijf is relatief onbekend in Noord-Amerika. Het is al 11,5 miljard dollar waard en zou een dominante speler op wereldniveau in de batterijsector kunnen worden als het zijn lithium-ion-productiecapaciteit met succes verzesvoudigt tot 50 GWh in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Andere Chinese fabrikanten volgen een vergelijkbaar traject. Panasonic, LG Chem en Boston Power bouwen nieuwe megafabrieken in China, terwijl bedrijven zoals Samsung en BYD bestaande fabrieken uitbreiden. Alle lithium-ionfabrieken in China hebben momenteel een capaciteit van 16,4 GWh, maar tegen 2020 zal die gecombineerde capaciteit 107,5 GWh bedragen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CAPACITEIT PER LAND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deze opschaling in China betekent dat het land in 2020 621 TP3T van de wereldwijde productiecapaciteit voor lithium-ionbatterijen in handen zal hebben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Er zijn slechts drie andere spelers in het megafabriekspel: de Verenigde Staten, Zuid-Korea en Polen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"710\" height=\"366\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bosaenergy.cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-59.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1843\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bosaenergy.cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-59.png 710w, https:\/\/www.bosaenergy.cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-59-600x309.png 600w, https:\/\/www.bosaenergy.cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-59-300x155.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 710px) 100vw, 710px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bovenstaande schattingen van de batterijcapaciteit zijn afkomstig van Benchmark Mineral Intelligence.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tesla\u2019s Gigafactory 1 has been a center of attention for people interested in the growing momentum behind green energy,electric cars,and battery production.Therefore,it is no surprise that this facility was in the news again last month,with Tesla starting to mass produce batteries as it ramps up to its goal of 35GWh of capacity and beyond.
