Ces cellules de 175 Wh\/kg conservent une capacit\u00e9 de 90% \u00e0 \u201340 \u00b0C, diversifient les cha\u00eenes d&#039;approvisionnement et pourraient alimenter les v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques jusqu&#039;\u00e0 600 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember398\">Le 21 avril, lors de son \u00e9v\u00e9nement Tech Day, CATL a annonc\u00e9 que ses batteries sodium-ion devraient entrer en production de masse d&#039;ici 2026. Le directeur scientifique de l&#039;entreprise, Wu Kai, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que les principaux d\u00e9fis de fabrication avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 relev\u00e9s, ouvrant la voie \u00e0 une production \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle d\u00e8s le quatri\u00e8me trimestre de cette ann\u00e9e. CATL pr\u00e9voit qu&#039;une fois la cha\u00eene d&#039;approvisionnement mature, les v\u00e9hicules \u00e9quip\u00e9s de ces batteries pourraient atteindre une autonomie de 600 kilom\u00e8tres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember399\">Les cellules sodium-ion pr\u00e9sentent plusieurs avantages notables par rapport aux technologies lithium-fer-phosphate et nickel-mangan\u00e8se-cobalt. Elles conservent environ 90 % de leur capacit\u00e9 nominale m\u00eame \u00e0 -40 \u00b0C, et leur co\u00fbt de production devrait \u00eatre inf\u00e9rieur d&#039;environ 30 % \u00e0 celui des batteries LFP. N&#039;utilisant ni lithium ni autres min\u00e9raux rares, elles contribuent \u00e9galement \u00e0 diversifier la cha\u00eene d&#039;approvisionnement. Leur principal inconv\u00e9nient demeure une densit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique plus faible, actuellement d&#039;environ 175 wattheures par kilogramme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember400\">Selon Gao Huan, directeur technique de CATL, l&#039;entreprise a surmont\u00e9 quatre obstacles techniques majeurs\u00a0: la ma\u00eetrise de l&#039;humidit\u00e9 extr\u00eame, la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de gaz de carbone dur, les difficult\u00e9s de collage des feuilles d&#039;aluminium et la production \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle d&#039;anodes auto-g\u00e9n\u00e9ratrices. En r\u00e9solvant plus de 100 probl\u00e8mes d&#039;ing\u00e9nierie, CATL a jet\u00e9 les bases d&#039;un d\u00e9ploiement \u00e0 l&#039;\u00e9chelle commerciale. D&#039;ici 2025, l&#039;entreprise aura investi pr\u00e8s de 10 milliards de yuans dans la recherche et le d\u00e9veloppement des batteries sodium-ion. Robin Zeng, pr\u00e9sident de CATL, pr\u00e9voit que cette technologie pourrait \u00e0 terme repr\u00e9senter entre 30 et 401\u00a0% du march\u00e9 global des batteries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember401\">Les applications commerciales sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 en cours. En d\u00e9cembre 2025, CATL a annonc\u00e9 son intention de d\u00e9ployer des batteries sodium-ion dans quatre segments\u00a0: services d\u2019\u00e9change de batteries, v\u00e9hicules particuliers, v\u00e9hicules utilitaires et stockage d\u2019\u00e9nergie stationnaire. D\u00e9but 2026, l\u2019entreprise a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 sa solution Tectrans II pour v\u00e9hicules utilitaires l\u00e9gers, int\u00e9grant son premier syst\u00e8me sodium produit en s\u00e9rie. Le 5 f\u00e9vrier, la premi\u00e8re voiture particuli\u00e8re \u00e0 batterie sodium-ion produite en s\u00e9rie, d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e en collaboration avec Changan Automobile, a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9voil\u00e9e avant son lancement pr\u00e9vu en milieu d\u2019ann\u00e9e.
