Il n&#039;est donc pas surprenant que cette usine ait de nouveau fait la une des journaux le mois dernier, Tesla ayant commenc\u00e9 la production en s\u00e9rie de batteries dans le cadre de sa progression vers son objectif de capacit\u00e9 de 35 GWh et au-del\u00e0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cependant, aussi passionnant que soit ce projet, il ne s&#039;agit en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 que d&#039;une parmi de nombreuses \u201c m\u00e9ga-usines \u201d \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle en construction, dont beaucoup se trouvent en Chine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">LA CHINE EN T\u00caTE DE LA CHARGE<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nous avons discut\u00e9 avec Simon Moores, directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de Benchmark Mineral Intelligence, qui nous a expliqu\u00e9 que Tesla n&#039;est ni seule ni unique dans ses ambitions de construire des batteries lithium-ion \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle\u00a0:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bien que la Gigafactory de Tesla soit d&#039;une importance capitale du point de vue de l&#039;int\u00e9gration verticale des v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques, la majorit\u00e9 des nouvelles capacit\u00e9s de production de batteries lithium-ion sont construites en Chine. Certaines de ces usines devraient \u00eatre gigantesques, comme celle de CATL d&#039;une capacit\u00e9 de 50 GWh\u00a0; il ne fait aucun doute que l&#039;industrie chinoise du lithium-ion a atteint sa maturit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Contemporary Amperex Technology Ltd (CATL) pr\u00e9voit de construire la plus grande m\u00e9ga-usine de batteries lithium-ion au monde, mais l&#039;entreprise est peu connue en Am\u00e9rique du Nord. Elle vaut d\u00e9j\u00e0 11,5 milliards de dollars et pourrait devenir un acteur majeur du secteur des batteries \u00e0 l&#039;\u00e9chelle mondiale si elle parvient \u00e0 multiplier par six sa capacit\u00e9 de production de batteries lithium-ion pour atteindre 50 GWh d&#039;ici 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">D&#039;autres fabricants chinois suivent une trajectoire similaire. Panasonic, LG Chem et Boston Power construisent de nouvelles m\u00e9ga-usines en Chine, tandis que des entreprises comme Samsung et BYD agrandissent celles existantes.
