Derfor er det ikke overraskende, at dette anl\u00e6g igen var i nyhederne sidste m\u00e5ned, hvor Tesla begyndte at masseproducere batterier i takt med at de n\u00e5r deres m\u00e5l om en kapacitet p\u00e5 35 GWh og derover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Men uanset hvor sp\u00e6ndende dette projekt er, er det faktisk blot \u00e9n af flere store &quot;megafabrikker&quot;, der bliver bygget \u2013 hvoraf mange ligger i Kina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">KINA I F\u00d8RSTE R\u00c6K<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vi talte med Simon Moores, administrerende direkt\u00f8r hos Benchmark Mineral Intelligence, som forklarede, at Tesla ikke er alene eller unik i sine ambitioner om at bygge lithium-ion-batterier i stor skala:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selvom Tesla Gigafactory er afg\u00f8rende set fra et vertikalt integrationsperspektiv for elbiler, bygges st\u00f8rstedelen af den nye lithium-ion-batterikapacitet i Kina. Nogle af disse anl\u00e6g forventes at blive enorme, s\u00e5som CATL-anl\u00e6gget p\u00e5 50 GWh \u2013 der er ingen tvivl om, at Kinas lithium-ion-industri er blevet voksen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Contemporary Amperex Technology Ltd (CATL) har planer om at bygge den st\u00f8rste litium-ion-megafabrik af alle \u2013 men virksomheden er lidt kendt i Nordamerika. Den er allerede 1,4-11,5 milliarder pund v\u00e6rd og kan blive en dominerende kraft globalt i batterisektoren, hvis den med succes \u00f8ger sin litium-ion-produktionskapacitet seks gange til 50 GWh inden \u00e5r 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Andre kinesiske producenter er p\u00e5 samme bane. Panasonic, LG Chem og Boston Power bygger nye megafabrikker i Kina, mens virksomheder som Samsung og BYD udvider eksisterende.
