Under \u00e6ldningsprocessen vil der forekomme en r\u00e6kke komplekse fysiske og kemiske \u00e6ndringer inde i batteriet. For eksempel vil der gradvist dannes en tykkere SEI-film p\u00e5 overfladen af den negative elektrode. V\u00e6ksten af denne film kan reducere aktiviteten af det negative elektrodemateriale og kan ogs\u00e5 for\u00e5rsage nogle revner. Tilsvarende vil en intern kortslutning i et lithium-ion-batteri gradvist falde, og enhedens levetid vil ogs\u00e5 blive reduceret betydeligt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember77\"><strong>(2) \u00d8get batterimodstand<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember78\">N\u00e5r der opst\u00e5r en intern kortslutning, bliver str\u00f8mfordelingen inde i batteriet uj\u00e6vn, og der opst\u00e5r en h\u00f8j str\u00f8mt\u00e6thed lokalt. Stigningen i batteriets interne modstand vil ikke kun \u00f8ge batteriets energitab under opladning og afladning, reducere batteriets energiomdannelseseffektivitet, men ogs\u00e5 for\u00e5rsage, at batteriet opvarmes under opladning og afladning.
